AxyCam is an engine that produces a continuous and uniform rotation, converting a linear motion of reciprocating pistons through a three-dimensional cam.
The engine can be powered by compressed air or any gas or liquid under pressure.
This mechanism is very versatile, can be an alternative to existing combustion engines, hydraulic and electric, just their simple construction, high efficiency and high torque.
Depending on the destination functional design of the cam motor is calculated to meet the desired torque and speed characteristics.
Use compressed air to produce motor movement allows use in applications where existing solutions are almost impossible to use or very expensive, such as in areas with explosive gases and flammable liquids for medical systems with sensors sensitive to electromagnetic fields and electrostatic parasites, etc. ...
This engine powered by compressed air can be a possible solution for building cars with absolutely clean air storage tanks at high pressure.
The engine can be used to recover the gas or vapor pressure directly released into the atmosphere in the various production processes of various industries and transform them into electrical energy by coupling the engine with a electrical generator.
The mechanism is able to produce reversible compressing air and storing it, for example, wind or hydrodynamic energy and converting it into electricity when needed.
Although the entire process and then re-compress the compressed air is lower than other forms of energy use, using this system may bring some benefits anyway, because of the possibility of immediate application in most existing applications, especially from an economic standpoint in the building due to the simplicity and efficiency of the system.

Since this concept don't need anymore the joints on the piston, we have developed a prototype using normal compressed air cylinders as you can see in the movie.

The engine can work with to any type of fuel, using the appropriate changes.

Advantages: Compared to a conventional motor-drive shaft rod, the current system has some advantages:

- Constant Torque throughout all the piston race

- Don't need a flywheel to overcome the dead points

- Very low vibration

- Easy construction

- Powered by compressed air results in an engine with zero pollution

Specifications:

Engine consists of: 3 pneumatic cylinders (standard)

Cylinder caracteristics: diameter 32, stroke 100mm

Measurements registered feeding the engine with air at 7 bar:

- 400 (rot/min)

- Power = 0.7 CV

The first impression: As compressed air engine we found easy to synchronize and mounting, starting very easy. The RPM obtained is relatively low, but with a very high Torque. Not so heavy (even as the first prototype) has excellent quality and wide possibilities for use as engine for automotive, but also in industry.
